I was looking for some budget gaming mouse, and having not previously owned one, chose a cheap Prestigio PMSG3 for about 16 euros.

The first impressions were good. Mouse was comfortable, felt just about the right weight, the side buttons were easily reached by the thumb and cord didn't get in the way.
I appreciate the speed, thought at greater Dpi values (1600 and up) it do seem to loose some accuracy (part of the the fault is probably me being unaccustomed to such pointer speeds and owning quite an inadequate mouse pad).

The Dpi changing button is nice with a very good feature of a lighted wheel that has different colors for different Dpi settings - easy to see what speed of your mouse now is. You can change between 400 and 3200 in intervals of 400. That is just a bit to large intervals for my taste, but I think this is probably a standard for most mouses.

The side buttons are forward and back keys by default, but you can remap them, as well as the right button and a wheel (yes, to my suprise the wheel is clickable) to any keyboard key or key combination as well as setting on "close current window". For me, side buttons are easy within reach for me. You do have to lift up your thumb a bit to reach them (thumb rests in the groove beneath them) that sacrifices some comfort, but that's tolerable. Though I confess that I don't know how comfortable are the thumb buttons of the competitors - this is, like I said, my first gaming mouse.

Using it a bit more I noticed that is do requires me to change the way how I hold the mouse to be truly comfortable with it. The groove on the right side is nice for resting my pinky, that that requires to keep my middle three fingers on the mouse buttons and wheel. Holding it like I used to hold regular mouse (2nd and 3rd fingers on the buttons, the 4th and 5th on resting on the side) puts some stress on my ring-finger. The side grooves are rubber and gives nice tactile feeling to thumb.

The software was easy to install, and the computer immediately recognised the mouse - you can plug it to any computer through USB and ready to work within seconds.

In conclusion, I like my new mouse. Good pointer speed, ergonomic design, additional mappable keys makes it a worthy buy. Consider it if you would like some good mouse but ain't ready to spend lots of money of some top notch mouse. I give it 4 out of 5 if not considering the price - not as good as some of the (albeit pricier) competitors, but well worth the money.
